Delta Section Cass-Lagoon Saddle Track Tramp:Between the 16th and 18th of January 2026 9 boys with 3 leaders and 2 Parents did the Cass-Lagoon Saddle Track starting from Cass River End and ending at the Cora-Lynn Road end (with an extra trek on the second day taking us halfway down the Harper Valley Track), we stay at the Hamilton Hut (the halfway point of the Cass-Lagoon Saddle) for 2 nights. The weather of the first day was wet and rainy, while the weather over the next two days was warmer, being just misty and cloudy. The hutt was cosy with a warm fire. It was a great time of followship. we all had a great tramp and would like to thank the Maerwhenua Trust for their major funding contributions, making it possible for the tramp to be affordable for everyone.
